Diplomatic role for Mandela’s daughter

South Africa has appointed Zenani Mandela-Dlamini, a daughter of former president Nelson Mandela, as ambassador to Argentina.

The businesswoman, 53, is the first daughter of Mandela’s marriage to his former wife, Winnie.

Mrs Mandela-Dlamini was a toddler when her father was imprisoned in South Africa and she was not allowed to visit him in jail until she was 16 years old.
