Dictator’s scion heads to Bosnia

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s grandson has applied to study in Bosnia and is awaiting a visa before attending classes at an international college in the town of Mostar.

Bosnian government sources said the authorities were checking his records after he was denied a visa for the United States and some European countries where he had applied to study.

Han-sol, 16, is son of Kim Jong-il’s eldest son Kim Jong-nam. He has applied to Mostar’s United World College, set up in the late 2000s to promote reconciliation in ethnically-divided Bosnia.
