Cypriot frescoes will be returned

RARE 13th-century religious frescoes will be returned to Cyprus from an American museum where they have been exhibited for the last 28 years.

Archbishop Chrysostomos II said the Menil Collection museum in Houston, Texas, had agreed to return the Byzantine frescoes showing Christ, the Virgin Mary and St John the Baptist that were looted after the 1974 Turkish invasion.
