Chelsea Clinton announces pregnancy

CHELSEA Clinton, the daughter of former US president Bill Clinton and ex-secretary of state Hillary Clinton, is expecting her first child later this year.

Chelsea and husband Marc Mezvinsky are said to be”very excited” at the news. Chelsea announced her pregnancy at a Clinton Foundation event on empowering young women in New York.

The former first lady said she is “really excited” about becoming a grandmother.

Chelsea, 34, is vice chairman of her family’s foundation. She said last year in a magazine interview that she hoped 2014 would be “the year of the baby”.
