Cairo has fresh arrest protest

MORE than 2,000 Egyptians marched through downtown Cairo yesterday, in protest at the arrest of a prominent blogger-activist.

Alaa Abdel-Fattah, was detained by the military on Sunday. It is alleged he incited Christian protesters to attack soldiers during an protest on 9 October in Cairo that turned into the bloodiest violence since the February fall of president Hosni Mubarak.
