Bhutan turns out for king and queen

Thousands of well-wishers yesterday lined the streets to greet Bhutan’s king and his new wife as they returned home a day after their wedding.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck married Queen Jetsun Pema in a monastery fortress in the tiny Himalayan kingdom. The couple stopped repeatedly to greet villagers in a daylong procession.
