Australia sorry for abuse of soldiers

Australia’s government apologised to hundreds of victims of abuse in the military yesterday. Defence minister Stephen Smith acknowledged that soldiers, sailors and member of the air force had suffered abuse, often under the excuse of toughening recruits.
