Armed robbers take £3.4m in bank raid

A PAIR of armed bank robbers dressed as guards made off with 4 million (£3.4 million) in cash from a bank in Italy's financial capital, police said. The cash was ready for transport when they arrived, and the pair used a gun to force staff into a bathroom before making off with the money, in both dollars and euros.

The staff were able to free themselves and summoned the police. No-one was injured.
