Android marks territory on Apple logo in map prank

JUST south of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, a Google Map shows what appears to be a small park west of the Soan River.

On closer inspection, however, the green patch of land is a bizarre image of an Android logo urinating on its Apple counterpart.

A user edit via Google Map Maker generated the image, which is now in the process of being removed by Google.

“We’ve terminated the Android figure involved in this incident, a spokesman told the Guardian, “and he’ll be disappearing from Google Maps shortly.”

Google Map Maker is a moderated channel through which users can add landmarks, street names and other common features.

Another image located a few miles east shows text that reads: “Google review policy is crap.” A sad face is drawn next to it.
