The self-taught 23-year-old moved to Scotland three years ago to be with his brother who had already settled in Aberdeen.

He performs regularly outside of the city’s Bon Accord Centre, where he wows shoppers with his virtuoso performances of popular songs such as Pink’s Just Give Me a Reason and hits by French R&B star Indila.

His talent has made national news in Romania, with his story was picked up by TV channel ProTV and his videos shared by fans across the country.

“A friend of mine in Aberdeen told me I should put my music online and at first I said no, no-one would want to listen to that,” said Mr Stana, who works as a chef and has also performed his hip hop tunes at a number of Aberdeen nightclubs.

“She kept talking about it and eventually I said OK. I didn’t expect this to happen and for it to become so popular.”

Mr Stana hopes to be admitted to a course in music production at an Aberdeen college next year.

He added: “I had never performed in public before. I had the idea of playing on the streets of Aberdeen and one day decided to give it a try. Now most people in Aberdeen know me.”
