17 Kenyans die from toxic alcohol

SEVENTEEN Kenyans have died after drinking a locally brewed alcoholic drink that officials believe was contaminated with a toxic substance.

Police said that two women and 15 men had died since Sunday in different bars in Nyahururu town in central Kenya. He said the cause of the contamination was unclear and the government is conducting tests.
