16 hurt in bombing at political office

A MOTORCYCLE bomb has injured 16 people outside the Bangalore office of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bangalore is India’s technology hub, and usually free of political violence.

Scores of party supporters were in the building at the time of the explosion yesterday.

Elections to the Karnataka state assembly are due to be held early next month.
