Workshops for tech firms

A SERIES of workshops for new technology firms are to be held at Edinburgh University.

The university's Informatics Ventures is hosting the workshops in a bid to transform Scotland's most promising high tech start-ups.

The workshops will bring growing technology companies together with some of the country's leading entrepreneurs to help them transform their ideas into world-leading entrepreneurial ventures.

The first two-day event, focusing on global sales strategies, will be held on September 6-7 at the University of Edinburgh's Business School.

Andrew Mitchell, project leader at Informatics Ventures, said: "Informatics in Edinburgh is making radical and rapid progress in turning our world-class research into entrepreneurial ventures."
