Workers want nicer offices

MOST workers described their office as "grotty" and "rundown" and would spruce things up themselves given the chance.

A survey of 3,000 workers showed three out of four would be put off joining a company by a poorly decorated office.

Almost two-thirds would happily redecorate their office for free if allowed, although some admitted they were partly to blame for untidy offices by leaving food and dirty plates around.

Anna Taylor, co-founder of RecruitementRevolution.com, said: "In these tough times, it seems to be adding insult to injury expecting people to work in shabby offices.
