Workers get their teeth into Rat Race

Capital workers were letting off some steam in their fantasy work clothes on Friday night to start off this weekend's Edinburgh Rat Race.

The Friday night "Run in your work clothes" event started in Princes Street Gardens and took runners along a 4km route in the city centre, which wound around Castle Rock.

After the race, the runners enjoyed a well-earned drink at a huge office party in the Rat Race Adventure Village, West Princes Street Gardens, to kick-off the annual urban challenge.

The main event is taking place across the Capital today and tomorrow.
