Worker stuck 15 metres up

A WORKMAN was left red-faced after becoming stranded at the top of a cherry picker when it broke down.

The man was removing Christmas decorations at the Two Thin Laddies cafe in Tollcross at around 2.10pm yesterday when the mechanism stalled, leaving him stranded 15 metres up.

Fire crews from Tollcross used a height appliance to bring the man down. A spokeswoman for the fire service said he was “a bit embarrassed”.
