Woodlands' grant boost

WOODLANDS around the Lothians are to receive a boost from a series of grants awarded by the Forestry Commission.

Among those receiving cash to improve facilities is the Polbeth Parkhead Access Network in West Lothian, which has been awarded 183,364.

The Thistle Foundation has received 41,897 and Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust receives two grants of 4,932 each to create guided activities in woodland sites and to encourage people from ethnic minorities to use woodlands.
