Women's fund boost

WOMEN'S projects in Edinburgh are being encouraged to apply for a share of a £76,000 funding pot provided by the Women's Fund for Scotland.

Grants of up to 2,000 are available to registered charities and constituted community groups that provide support, services and activities for women aged over 16.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday, December 7, 2010.

Nick Addington, grants director of the Scottish Community Foundation, said: "We urge groups to apply now to have the best chance of being funded."
