Women spring into action with quick dip

WOMEN took the plunge in the icy waters of the Forth to celebrate the first day of spring.

Around 50 people enjoyed a bracing swim on Saturday afternoon as part of the Big Dunk in North Berwick.

It was led by Kate Rew, the author of Wild Swim and a champion of outdoor swimming, and organised by Edinburgh-based company Nairns. It is also part of the Nairn's Natural Woman campaign which encourages women to share tips on health and vitality.

Women aged between 20 and 60 enjoyed a dip in the sea, followed by tea and oat biscuits.
