Woman's hearing aid implant is UK first

A WOMAN has become the first person in the UK to receive a totally implanted hearing aid.

Denise Westgate, 49, from Hampshire, was fitted with the implant, which is for people with moderate to severe hearing loss who are unable to benefit from conventional hearing aids.
