Woman ‘threw girl’ aged 4

A WOMAN allegedly picked up a four-year-old girl and threw her at the child’s father, a court has heard.

Prosecutors say Tammy Redford “wilfully ill-treated” the girl in a “manner likely to cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to health”.

Redford faces further charges that she assaulted the man – who cannot be named to protect the girl’s identity – by seizing him by the throat and repeatedly punching him on the head.

She also faces a third charge that she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by
repeatedly shouting and swearing at the man and another woman “in a manner likely to cause fear or alarm”.

The incidents are said to have taken place on 10 May. Redford, 22, of Ballater Place, Dundee, was not in court to hear the charges against her.

The case was continued until 10 August.
