Woman golfer fights club expulsion for 'bullying'

A WOMAN has gone to court in an attempt to overturn her expulsion for alleged bullying at a leading golf club.

Susan Sneddon, a music teacher at Dundee High School, was expelled from the Caledonia Golf Club at Carnoustie Links in Angus last year, amid allegations of whistle-blowing to licensing officials, intimidating bar staff and disloyalty.

Ms Sneddon, of Queen Street, Carnoustie, who was a prominent member, winning ladies' monthly medals and other competitions, was expelled last September following a special meeting of the club's council.

She has now gone to the Court of Session in Edinburgh, seeking a judicial review and to have her expulsion overturned.

Ms Sneddon is claiming that, in all her time as a member, she has never been involved in disciplinary matters or been the subject of any complaint.
