Woman charged over death of boy, 5, in Alva

A WOMAN has been charged with murder after the death of a five-year-old boy.

Farai Chirashi or Chiriseri also faces a charge of assault following the death of the child at a house in Alva, Clackmannanshire, on Friday.

No plea was made when the case called at Alloa Sheriff Court yesterday in the 32-year-old’s absence, the Crown Office said.

The case was continued for further examination and an assessment order was made.
