Woman attacked after opening front door to group

A WOMAN was left with serious facial injuries after answering her front door to a group of men and women who had been arguing outside her home.

The 25-year-old heard the argument in Niddrie House Park at around 3am on Saturday before the group knocked on her door. After telling them to leave, she was punched and kicked several times by one of the women.

The victim was taken to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary suffering from fractures to her cheek and jaw.

The suspect is described as being white, late 20s, 5ft 9in in height, with "droopy" facial features, a thin build and short dyed ginger frizzy hair.
