Woman at bus stop hurt as robbers snatch handbag

A WOMAN suffered cuts to her arm after being assaulted by two muggers who stole her handbag as she waited for a bus.

The 36-year-old was waiting at the corner of Rosebank Grove when two men came along Granton Road from Ferry Road and approached her.

The men grabbed for the bag and wrestled her to the ground.

They made off towards Fraser Avenue at the entrance to the Water of Leith following the incident, which took place at around 9.20pm on Monday.

The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 10in tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with white number or letter stitched on the front and blue jeans.

The other man is described only as being in a dark hooded top.

Both are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties.
