Woman appears in court over Glasgow stabbing

A woman has appeared in court charged with murder after an alleged stabbing at a flat.

Lorraine Foy, 36, from Ballieston, Glasgow, was injured in an incident in Crowlin Crescent, Cranhill, Glasgow, at about 9.40pm on Saturday.

She was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment but later died, police said.

Tracy Meikle, 32, made no plea when she appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court today charged with assault and murder.

Meikle, from Glasgow, was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again within eight days.
