AN ELDERLY woman was robbed in broad daylight after she opened her purse when a man asked her for change of £1.

The 88-year-old was at the corner of Eskdail Street and Buccleuch Street in Dalkeith when the incident happened at about 10:30am on Thursday. Police are hunting the robber.
