Woman, 82, robbed outside supermarket

AN ELDERLY woman was robbed in Edinburgh after leaving a supermarket, police said.

The incident happened on Tuesday at the Craigleith retail park after the 82-year-old had visited Sainsbury's.

A man asked her for change, and as she opened her purse to look, he forced a pound into her hand and snatched a number of notes, before making off.
