Woman, 24, raped by three men in Glasgow south side

A WOMAN was raped by three men who pulled her into a lane as she walked along the street.

The 24-year-old was grabbed in Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow’s south side on Saturday night.

She was near Torrisdale Street between 11pm and 12:45am when three men shouted comments at her, pulled her into a lane and raped her.

The victim managed to get help at a nearby bar, the Allison Arms. The men are described as Asian and aged 30 to 34.

Detective Inspector Diane Caldwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “This type of incident is a rare occurrence and I want to assure people that we are absolutely committed to identifying and arresting whoever is responsible. “Significant resources will be used to support the inquiry and people can be assured of a visible police presence in the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area, or surrounding areas, who may have seen or heard something.”
