Witness tells jury of being shot in head

A MAN told a murder trial jury yesterday how he witnessed his former boss being gunned down, before he himself was shot in the head.

A court heard of strife between two brothers who ran a property company in Fife, and that David Dalgleish, 44, found himself “piggy in the middle”.

Mohammed “Mo” Azam Siddique, 42, is alleged to have plotted to hire a man to kill Mohammed “Toby” Nadeem Siddique, 38, and in court Mr Dalgleish described the day the younger brother died.

He said he saw Tencho Andonov, 28, point a gun at him from close range. He said: “I was also shot … there was a struggle and through that struggle I ended up getting shot in the head.”

Mo Siddique, Andonov and Deyan Nikolov, 27, are charged with murdering Toby Siddique on 24 October last year at a flat in Forres Drive, Glenrothes, Fife.

It is alleged Siddique and Nikolov conspired to murder Toby Siddique and Mr Dalgleish, and arranged for Andonov to carry out the attacks. The three are further accused of attempting to murder Mr Dalgleish.

Siddique and Andonov have lodged special defences of incrimination, blaming Mr Dalgleish for the murder.

The trial continues.
