Witness call after robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 46-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Oxgangs.

The incident happened around 6pm on Saturday at the junction of Oxgangs Drive and Oxgangs Place. The victim was making his way towards Oxgangs Road when he was approached from behind by two men, who assaulted him and stole his wallet.

He suffered a facial injury as a result of the assault, and was taken to hospital for treatment.
