Witness appeal after raiders target house

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men forced their way into a house and threatened the occupiers before stealing a three-figure sum of money and other property.

The incident took place at around 8.40pm on Monday, March 5, in Walden Terrace, Gifford.

The first suspect is described as male, white, 6ft, with a medium muscular build and wearing a black padded jacket with zips and pockets, blue jeans and black boots. He was wearing a black balaclava over his face.

The second suspect is described as male, white, slightly shorter than the first male, with a stocky build and wearing a black hat with a black fleeced scarf over his face, a black padded jacket, blue jeans and black boots. They both spoke with local accents.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of Walden Terrace about the time of this incident and who may have seen something suspicious or who recognise the description of the suspects. Contact police on 0131-311 3131.
