Winter vomimiting bug closes two wards at Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen

TWO wards at Aberdeen’s Royal Cornhill Hospital have been closed to new admissions due to the norovirus winter vomiting bug.

Ten patients and five members of staff are showing symptoms of the bug at the hospital, the main centre in the North East of Scotland for the care and treatment of people with mental health problems.

An NHS Grampian spokeswoman said: “Ten patients and five members of staff across two wards at Royal Cornhill Hospital are showing symptoms of the norovirus. These wards will not take any new admissions until all those affected have been clear of symptoms for 48 hours.”
