The Met Office has released a yellow weather warning for Tuesday and Wednesday as the country braces itself for Storm Francis.
The rain is set to start at around 7am on Tuesday, with flood warnings in place.
A statement from the Met Office said: “Rain will affect to all parts today with some heavy spells and accompanied by strong easterly winds.
"The rain will turn more showery in the afternoon with winds easing. Maximum temperature 17 °C.”
