The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow covering much of mainland Scotland. This came into force at 3am today and is due to lift at 6pm.
More than 430 flights due to take off or land at UK airports were cancelled on Friday.

Hide AdA man was killed by a falling tree in County Wexford in the south east of Ireland today while a member of the public was in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by falling debris from a roof in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.
The winds were so strong in London that parts of the O2 Arena roof have been “ripped off”.
Train services are running well across Scotland with ScotRail saying travellers shouldn’t expect as much disruption as was brought by Storm Dudley earlier this week.
In Aberdeenshire more than 30 schools were closed due to the forecast heavy snow while some schools were shut in Angus and Inverclyde.

The Millennium Dome was damaged by Storm Eunice on Friday morning
Witness Mala Sharma told the PA news agency that “more and more parts are getting ripped off”, adding, “it’s going to be a safety issue for people around”.
She said that it happened “right in front of my eyes” and that the damage “started off with a patch” but then a “chunk” of the dome roof ripped off.
Jerry Dyer, from popular aviation channel Big Jet TV, which is streaming footage of landings at Heathrow airport, told BBC Radio 2: “This is the best scenario you could possibly imagine – big kudos to the pilots and the crews working at the airports, this is the most exciting stuff you could possibly get.
“Right now, these conditions with 70mph gusting winds, it’s pretty intense.
“And what is great is you get to see the skill of the pilot and how they manage to handle it.”

The Port of Dover has announced it is temporarily closed to shipping due to Storm Eunice “in the interests of customer and staff safety”.
A spokesperson added: “We are monitoring the weather situation closely and liaising with the ferry operators with an aim to reopen the port to shipping once it is safe to do so.
“The safety of our passengers and staff remains our utmost priority.”
