A bus in Glasgow found itself in a similar position on Monday as conditions worsened, with the driver struggling to manoeuvre up a snowy hill while the vehicle threatened to drift across the street into parked cars.
A car in Edinburgh was also caught on video struggling to make it up the Royal Mile in the snow, eventually requiring the help of a couple of friendly passers-by to help push it up the hill.
The treacherous weather conditions won’t be going anywhere anytime soon as the Met Office has extended its weather warnings for snow and ice across much of Scotland until Friday.
Temperatures are expected to fall as far as -9C in Inverness and Perth, -7C in Stirling, -6C in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, and -5C in Aberdeen by Wednesday night.

On Tuesday a ten-year low of -16.7C was recorded in Sutherland, and as the weather warnings are extended temperatures are expected to continue dropping to equal or beat that recent low.
