Incredible image captures stunning sunset behind train crossing Forth Bridge
A stunning photo showed a train crossing the horizon as the Forth bridges were silhouetted against the sunset last night.
Photographer Tom Duffin, 57, captured a giant sun with clouds and the iconic bridges contrasted against it.
In the distance a windfarm could be seen towards Stirling.
The 7.03pm Glenrothes to Edinburgh Waverley service crossed the frame in the photo which was taken at 7.42pm.
Dad-of-three Tom said: "The sun moves position so I was trying to get the sun going down behind the Forth Bridge.
"Sometimes with the clouds you end up with a better shot.
"The bridges have been a great silhouette subject. they are really iconic.
"I didn't have to wait long as I knew what time the sun was going down."
He was looking east, and captured the old Forth Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge, and the Queensferry Crossing all aligned.
The photo was taken from Leith, Edinburgh, 12km away using a 500mm telephoto lens.
