Despite Monday’s heavy rain, the Met Office do not predict dangerous weather for Tuesday with only a few showers on a mainly bright day.

This is not the first time the road has been made inaccessible due to adverse weather, with households being evacuated in March 2018 due to similar circumstances.

Gardenstown is a coastal village just under nine miles east of Banff.
