Water hitch shuts school

ALMOST 200 pupils were sent home from a West Lothian primary school following problems with the water supply.

The problems at Blackridge Primary School yesterday morning were later resolved and the school was expected to open today as normal.

A West Lothian Council spokesman said: “Blackridge Primary School was closed yesterday morning due to problems with the water. As part of our Winter Ready procedures, pupils also have a pack of work which can be completed at home.”
