Watch: US star Donald Glover tries Irn-Bru for the first time
Glover, also known by his musical persona Childish Gambino, appears alongside his Solo: A Star Wars Story co-star, English actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as they each try out American and UK snacks and decide which ones they like best.
Posted to LADbible’s YouTube channel, the video shows Glover and Waller-Bridge, who play Lando Calrissian and droid L3-37 respectively in the new Star Wars flick, guzzling down Lucky Charms, Monster Munch and Apple Sourz before the American is introduced to Scotland’s ‘other’ national drink: Irn-Bru.

Next up is a 500ml bottle of Caledonian girdery goodness.
Waller-Bridge, who describes Irn-Bru as “gooood stuff” asks Glover if he has tried it. Glover replies that he hasn’t.
After taking a gulp of the Irn-Bru (which, incidentally, is a post-sugar tax variant) Glover states that he likes it, before offering the drink to Waller-Bridge.
The English actress takes a small sip and then, rather inexplicably - after her earlier praise of the Scottish soft drink, exclaims, “Christ, that’s horrible!”.

Under his Childish Gambino alter ego, Donald Glover is currently topping the US Billboard charts with his single This is America.
