Watch: The Scottish Olympic ice dancer dressed as giant human-sized ice skate for Halloween
Scottish Olympic ice dancer Lewis Gibson and his partner Lilah Fear looked a little bit different when they took to the ice on Halloween morning.
To the surprise of their training mates, the pair, who last year scooped a silver medal at the European Figure Skating Championships and competed in the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, were dressed as giant ice skates.

In a video posted to their Instagram pages, the ice dance pair skated an impressive routine in the giant costumes, which were as tall as them. Their own skates were decked out in silver covers, camouflaging them as blades.

The duo, who train at the Ice Academy of Montreal in Canada and are six-times British national ice dance champions, make a tradition of Halloween, in previous years dressing up as their coaches, Romain Hagenauer and Marie France Dubreuil - and as the rink barriers.
Mr Gibson, from Prestwick, told The Scotsman: “Halloween is just like something we’ve enjoyed over time since moving here and it feels like we’re bringing a little bit of enjoyment and fun to the rink for the day. Both of us have always enjoyed dressing up as kids and we’re now keeping that spirit alive.”
The video was captioned: “This is what happens when Halloween is in the middle of the competition season…gotta keep training...”
Fans reacted to the video.
One said: “This is AMAZING. I am obsessed with this.”
