Waste firm in clear to add eight staff

Eight new jobs have been created as a result of a home and office clearance specialist setting up in the Capital.

Waste management firm Junk-It Scotland, which pledges to divert 73 per cent of all it collects away from landfill, said demand for its services has grown among environmentally-conscious people.

Items of worth that it collects are redistributed among local charities, while raw materials such as timber are recycled.

Director Ross Martin said: "Our client list already includes Barclays Commercial Finance, KPMG and Colliers International.

"It's becoming clearer every day now that businesses with substantial ongoing clearance requirements view our services as a simple way to dramatically improve their green credentials overnight - in a way that is completely traceable - while also getting all of their unwanted items of junk taken care of faster and more cost effectively."
