Warning to train 'revellers'

REVELLERS travelling to stag and hen parties in Newcastle using the east coast main line have been warned against anti-social behaviour.

British Transport Police said there had been an increase in the number of people travelling to the north east from Edinburgh following the popular reality TV show Geordie Shore. Sergeant Stephanie Reynolds said: "Passengers have reported problems from large groups. Antisocial behaviour and overindulging in alcohol will not be tolerated on the rail network and we will continue to put officers on services to reassure passengers and staff."
