Warning over break-ins

PORTOBELLO and Joppa residents are being urged to remain vigilant following a number of domestic housebreakings and bogus caller incidents in recent weeks.

A number of arrests have been made and police have stepped up high-visibility patrols in the area.

In their February community policing report officers said they had stepped up evening patrols on Portobello High Street following a slight increase in youth trouble.
