War veteran's medals stolen

A WAR hero has been left "devastated" after he had his prized medals stolen from his nursing home, it was reported today.

Grandad David Morris, 89, from Bathgate, is missing two medals which were presented to him for serving in the Second World War.

They went missing from Meadowvale Nursing Home.

His daughter Shirley, 44, said he had hung his jacket with the medals on his door and they had vanished the next day.

She said: "It's ridiculous that somebody would steal from a veteran. The staff have searched the whole place and they're nowhere to be found."

She appealed to anyone who has information to come forward.
