Volunteers are called up

TEN volunteers have won a place on the Vodafone World of Difference charity programme.

One of the local winners, who will be starting their new roles in March, is Robert Jones, who will spend two months working for the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers Scotland.

Sarah Forster and Jonathan Watler will work with the Cyrenians, Karol Bartusiak is going to Edinburgh Young Carers, Stewart MacLachlan will be spending eight weeks at the Scottish Child Law Centre and Sarah Nisbet will be working with Marie Curie Cancer Care.
