Vintage fans rev up for rally

VINTAGE car enthusiasts are gearing up for what has been billed as Britain's longest and toughest rally - driving 750 miles through some of the wildest and most spectacular scenery from London to Edinburgh.

A total of 85 pre-war vehicles will take part in the 3rd Flying Scotsman Rally, with cars coming from the US, Canada and countries in Europe.

Drivers will set off from the Brooklands Motor Museum in Surrey at 10am on April 1 before finishing at the Dalmahoy Hotel outside Edinburgh at 5pm on April 3.

The 4th Flying Scotsman Rally will run from April 20-22 next year.
