Villagers get together to spread love

MORE than 100 people showed how much they love their village by attending an "I Love Kirknewton" event.

Residents launched the I Love Kirknewton campaign to shape the future of the West Lothian village.

They were urged to come along to share their views at a drop-in event at the village hall last Sunday.

Residents still have a few more days to offer their opinions and feedback on the views submitted will be given at a series of events in March.

Tony Foster, who has lived in the village for nearly ten years, was employed by the Kirknewton Community Development Trust to conduct a community consultation, asking what people like and dislike about life in Kirknewton and what would make it a better place to live.

Mr Foster is working with independent consultant Vikki Hilton.
