Video of man stealing from Peterhead farm shop goes viral

A video clip of a man taking cash out of an honesty box at a farm shop has gone viral.

The footage was posted on Facebook after money was taken out of the cash box on Thursday night.

Clola Farm Shop staff appealed for help to identify the mystery man and uploaded the video online.

And within minutes of posting the footage the man was apparently named - by his own brother.

The video has been shared on Facebook more than 2,600 times overnight.

A spokeswoman from Clola Farm Shop, which is based near Peterhead, in Aberdeenshire, said she did not want to comment yesterday.

But she said the incident came to light after staff checked CCTV on Thursday night.

She said: “The police are now dealing with it.”
