Video: Lightning strikes Edinburgh during storm

Filmed by Grant Richie, who runs realedinburgh.co.uk and its corresponding Facebook page, he shot the footage on his iPhone in the late afternoon.
The video shows lightning striking three times, which Grant has slowed down to 10 per cent, and 1 per cent, showing the exact moment the lightning strikes the earth.

Hide AdGrant started Real Edinburgh as a vehicle for showcasing his images of Edinburgh as part of a street photography project, before expanding to include images from outwith the city’s boundaries.
He is keen on encouraging fellow capital residents to take more photos, adding: “My aim is to get Edinburgh out photographing the city in all its glory.’
